Day 17 of Art-pril

Today's word is poetry.

Today is International Haiku Poetry Day. "Haiku" is a traditional form of Japanese poetry. Haiku poems consist of 3 lines. The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables.

Because Haikus are such short poems, they are usually written about things that are recognisable to the reader.

Knowing how many of us dyslexics feel about poetry I not going to ask you to write a haiku but to read one and draw the image that comes to mind.

Or you can draw how as a dyslexic you feel about poetry!
