Word of the Week

compatible

Meaning two or more things able to exist or occur together without problems or conflict.

Example of using it in a sentence "Home schooling is compatible with having a part time job, working at dad’s or mum’s company."

This is another word that comes from the Latin word meaning ‘together’ this time partnered with ‘getting on with’.

Spelling tip: we need to make note that this is the ‘ible’ family and not the ‘able’ family.

com + pat + ible

Use the word as many times throughout the week. This can be verbally, in your written work or listen out for other people using it.
