Achieve (verb)

Meaning being able to do something by effort, skill or courage with successful that was once out of reach.

Example of using it in a sentence "Together we have achieved over 100,000 questions answered this year so far "

It comes from the Old French word ‘a chief’ meaning 'head' with the added ‘ac’ which is the ‘to’ part of the verb we have the saying “bring to a head” meaning to complete something.

Spelling tip: The tricky bit is the ‘ie’ in the middle, so separate it and remember "I achieve" as you write it.

Ac + ch + i + eve

Use the word as many times throughout the week. This can be verbally, in your written work or listen out for other people using it.
