The Orchard Gate
It’s been a slow return to learning this week at Orchard, with flu doing the rounds. I hope those of you who’ve been unwell are starting to feel better. Lucky me, I had some germs for half term!
Our Christmas making began this week with wooden decorations. Next come metal decorations, then sewing, and finally our gingerbread houses.
Work with what you have at home, please do not go out and spend lots of money. We’ve already seen some decorations made from paper and cardboard, and those are absolutely fine because they are made from wood. For the metal task, kitchen foil from the cupboard will do nicely.
Please send me a quick photo of your finished make by Friday afternoon each week.
If you went to a Bonfire Night event, remember that it’s a cultural event and can go in your evidence diary. A short note about where you went and what you saw is enough.
Parents, please make sure the learning paperwork and evidence diary are up to date at the end of each week.
Look out for Elena's blog tomorrow.
Have a good and safe bonfire weekend, everyone.
