Interrupt
Meaning – to stop the continuous progress of something.
Example of using it in a sentence: “The storm interrupted the football match.”
It can also mean – to speak while someone else is speaking.
Example of using it in a sentence: “Please don’t interrupt while I’m explaining.”
Spelling Tips: inter (between) + rupt (break). Think of a “rupture” — a break — and you’ll remember the root.
Use the word as many times throughout the week as you can.
