1.     Friends

Meaning: someone who we are like to spend time with who is not part of our family.

Example of using it in a sentence “You may start out as study buddies but can end up as friends."

This word appears to have number of origins a mash up of Germanic, Old English and Dutch. A mixture of somebody who we spend time with, who we trust and they sees us for who we really are and they still like! Someone pretty special!

Spelling tip: we are breaking the word up like this just as we say it.
