Weekly Maths Problem

Don’t forget to write out the problem at the top of the page, date the work and show all your workings out (even the wrong answers) and then file the evidence in your folder!

Nicola needs some new sportswear and so she drives to her local town. The multi-storey carpark is 6 storeys tall. There are 6 empty parking spaces on the first level. There are 5 more empty parking spaces on the second level than on the first level, and there are 4 more empty parking spaces on the third level than on level two. There are 29 free parking spaces on the fourth level. Levels five and six are full. How many empty parking spaces are there in total?

You can share your answers here in the forum on the website or with me as I visit during the week. Remember you need to show your workings out to get the maximum points.
