Weekly Maths Problem

One of the colleges Tom works for is giving its staff a pay rise. If Tom works for 100 hours a month he will qualify for the full 2%. If he works for 50 hours he will only receive a 1% pay rise. Last month Tom worked for 60 hours and was paid £1,240. How much will his pay rise be?
