Healthy August - Four Corners

This is our second post featuring a Healthy August Game to enjoy with your siblings, cousins, friends, and Study Buddies. The game is called Four Corners, and the objective is to be the last player remaining.

You will need: four areas in the garden or park that are easy to see and identify. You can use anything to mark the corner. Decide which corner is number 1, number 2, number 3 and number 4.

How to Play:

1) Decide who is going to be the caller - or "IT". They will be standing with their back to the players.

2) The other players, then chooses which of the corners they want to stand at.

3) The caller, with their back tuned, calls out one of the corners, who is ever is at that corner sits down. If they don't obey the instruction they are out of the game.

4) The caller can then look around to see where everyone is.

5) The caller turns around and everyone standing runs to a new corner.

6) The caller calls out a new corner number, and everyone at that corner sits down.

7) The caller can then look again, turns back and every one can change corners and the game goes on until there is only one player standing. That person becomes the caller. If the caller gets everyone to sit down they stay the caller.

Three kids run joyfully on a sunny day in a green park, wearing casual summer clothes. Trees fill the background, creating a lively scene.
