immediate (adjective)

Meaning – occurring or done at once.

Example of using it in a sentence: "Nicola took immediate action!”

Synonyms: instant, instantaneous, prompt, swift, speedy, rapid, quick

It also meanings – nearest in time, relationship or rank

Example of using it in a sentence: "no changes are planned for the immediate future!”

Synonyms: recent, soon, in the near future, next in line

Spelling Tip – this is an “im”, not an “in” word. Say the word over emphasising the “iM” and “Med” so you get both ‘MM’s in!

Use the word as many times throughout the week as you can. This can be verbally, in your written work or listen out for other people using it.
