Occupy


Meaning – to fill or take up space or time.


Example of using it in a sentence: “The children occupy the living room every afternoon.”


It can also mean – to take control of a place.


Example of using it in a sentence: “The army plans to occupy the city.”


Spelling Tips: oc + cu + py — double ‘c’ after ‘o.’
