Word of the Week

equipment

Meaning: the necessary items needed for a particular task, job or role.

Example of using it in a sentence “Here at Orchard Training Cookery Club we like to learn how to use new equipment to help us make our healthily meals."

The root word comes from France and the late 18th century, and refers to a person having the skills and tools for their job.

Spelling tip: we are going to break the work in to the four sounds we can hear:

                                                               e + qu + ip + ment

Use the word as many times throughout the week. This can be verbally, in your written work or listen out for other people using it.
