Discover the Orchard Training Programme: A Complete, Flexible Approach to Home Education
The Orchard Training programme offers a rich and structured learning experience designed especially for home-schooling families. Learners benefit from a blend of virtual classroom lessons, personalised 1-to-1 sessions, and a range of optional enrichment clubs—including gardening, cooking, and film—bringing education to life beyond the screen.
Each week, our homeschooling learners receive a clear, easy-to-follow plan covering mathematics, English, science, and health education. The unique Learning Through the Year feature adds a creative, cross-curricular project that can be adapted to each learner’s interests, ensuring lessons stay engaging, meaningful, and relevant. With each month dedicated to a theme.
When Homeschooling learners follow the weekly plan, they typically complete 20–25 hours of high-quality education. The programme is designed to fit around family life—cultural events, health appointments, and other commitments—while still providing the structure needed for steady progress. To meet the standards expected by Inclusion Officers from the Education and Lifelong Learning Team, the programme encourages commitment, consistency, and regular evidence of learning.
Orchard Training helps gather this evidence through its virtual classroom platform (IXL) and frequent progress checks. Parents simply collect photographic records and keep support materials or worksheets, creating a clear picture of the learner’s achievements.
Orchard Training: flexible, supportive, and designed to help every home-schooler thrive.
