Meaning: used to single out one person or something over all the others in a group.
Example of using it in a sentence “We worked hard on all our iced bread roll recipes, but we enjoyed Jenny’s iced buns especially."
The word was first used in the 13th century and refers to connect to a group of things that are alike.
Spelling tip: we are going emphasise the first and second ‘e’. We need to remember that soft ‘ss’ in the middle is made by the letter ‘c’.
