Weekly Maths Problem

Don’t forget to write out the problem at the top of the page, date the work and show all your workings out (even the wrong answers) and then file the evidence in your folder!

Annabel loves science and is given a book for her birthday. An interesting fact about nails is that they grow at 0.35cm a month. Her sister Elizabeth, doesn’t believe that and looks up the information online and finds it says 2.5mm. It takes 3 to 6 months to replace a whole finger nail depending on which nail it is. If a thumb nail is 2cm long how long will it take to replace the whole nail, according to both sources?

You can share your answers here in the forum on the website or with me as I visit during the week. Remember you need to show your workings out to get the maximum points.
