GCSE English Group - Taming of the Shrew

We went to London, to the Globe, again this year. This year's play was The Taming of the Shrew. We had thought we had booked a traditional version but it turned out to a very modern production. I am afraid to say the costumes and the stage setting was lost on us. But the stageing of the the coercive control was very clear and the drive home was full of questions of how, why and who. Which is what as a home school teacher is the object of the play - a discussion on what is a safe and respectful relationship.
