Maintenance (noun)

Meaning –the process of preserving a condition or situation or the state of being preserved.

Example of using it in a sentence: "You need to carry out maintenance on your home to keep it safe, warm, dry etc. so that you can live in it.”

It also means –the provision of financial support for a person’s living expenses.

Spelling Tip – this is a nice word to learn to spell as it has two words in it and all you have to remember is that it is an ‘ance’ not an ‘ence’ word.

main + ten + ance

Use the word as many times throughout the week as you can. This can be verbally, in your written work or listen out for other people using it.
