Word of the Week
creation (noun)
Meaning – the action or process of bring something in to existence.
Example of using it in a sentence: “This recipe is my creation – but I took inspiration from one of my old cookery books.”
Spelling Tip – The Latin root word is a verb ‘to create.’ However, once you have carried out the action and created ‘something’ - you now have a creation. This something, this creation is what we are talking about and this is the noun. Because of the root ‘create’ ends in a ‘t’ the ‘tion’ ending will start with a ‘t’.
cr + e + a + tion
Use the word as many times throughout the week as you can. This can be verbally, in your written work or listen out for other people using it.
