This word has two meanings

 

1.     Meaning: an activity, encounter or event that leaves a negative or positive impression on someone

2.     Meaning the you are able to do something by practice – you have the experience in the skill needed or the job.

 

Example of using it in a sentence “Homeschooling can be a positive experience if you put effort in to do the work. "

 

This Latin word means to try – and is the root of experiment and expert.

 

Spelling tip: we are breaking the word up like this just as we say it. We need to remember it is a part of the “ence” family
