Weekly Maths Problem

Don’t forget to write out the problem at the top of the page, date the work and show all your workings out (even the wrong answers) and then file the evidence in your folder!

This week we are celebrating St David's Day, so hear is a maths question lined to Wales.

Take the alphabet and give each letter a value a = 1, b = 2, c = 3 and so on. Think of any words linked to St David's Day and find the word with the highest value. For example leek = 11 + 5 + 5 + 12 scoring 33 points can you do better?
