Orchard Training Homeschool Garden Club - March

This week at the Orchard Training Garden Club, we've been multitasking. The warmer weather has accelerated the growth of our seedlings, and some are appearing a bit spindly.

We have started to chit some potatoes, and pot on the tomatoes, peppers and we are tryign again aubergines and we have sown some cucumbers.

We have had a good look around the plot and made a job list but as the Easter holidays are running fast towards us - we are not sure if we can get it all done in time.

During one of our breaks, we observed the squirrels coming down to the lawn, evidently searching for some of the nuts they buried last autumn. We must remain still to watch them, because any movement toward a camera or phone causes them to flee, leaving us with only a glimpse of a tail quickly retreating along the fence.
