Weekly Maths Problem

Now that Spring has sprung I am out and about on my bike again. Although it is snowing again today.

In my first week, the weather was good on one day, I travelled on my bike visiting everyone on my appointments list. It was 6 miles to my first appointment, from there to my second appointment 2.9 miles and to my third 3.4 miles. I had to walk through the town centre for 1.2 miles. I then cycled for 4.2 miles. My next appointment was 1.5 miles away and finally my cycle home was 5 miles. How many miles did I cycle that day?
