Weekly Maths Problem

Don’t forget to write out the problem at the top of the page, date the work and show all your workings out (even the wrong answers) and then file the evidence in your folder! This is a multi-step problem – you are estimating the answer. Think about all the steps you need to do to find the answer.

The local homeschool group want to make a playground for the younger learners. The have enough equipment to cover 2,500 sq m. They have the choice of making a square playground or a rectangle playground. Which should they choose and why?
