Weekly Maths Problem
Don’t forget to write out the problem at the top of the page, date the work and show all your workings out (even the wrong answers) and then file the evidence in your folder! This is a multi-step problem. Think about all the steps you need to do to find the answer.
At our favourite restaurant, the ‘dinner for two’ specials are either salmon fillet with new potatoes and broccoli or steak with potato wedges and salad. The restaurant served 50 ‘dinner for two’ specials in total, 15 of which were the salmon fillet and 35 of which were steak. What is the probability of the next specials will salmon fillets? What is the probability of the next specials will steak?
Simplify your answer as a fraction or if answering as a % to the nearest tenth.
You can share your answers here in the forum on the website or with me as I visit during the week. Remember you need to show your workings out to get the maximum points.
