Meaning – something or someone left out or excluded
Example of using it in a sentence: “I have done all my homework except the Word of the Week homework. That was an omission on my behalf. I didn’t check.”
Spelling Tip – This Latin root word omittere means to leave out. The adding of the ‘sion’ suffix on the end means the act of leaving out.
