Conscientious (adjective)

Meaning – a person’s moral sense of right and wrong, viewed as acting as a guide to one’s behavior.

Example of using it in a sentence "Nicola is a conscientious teacher, she takes her duties seriously.”

Synonyms: diligent, industrious, painstaking, sedulous, assiduous, dedicated, careful, thorough, attentive, hard working, rigorous

Spelling Tip – Conscientious is sometimes confused with conscious

The word has a silent c tuck it in with the ‘sc’ to stop us having to remember if it is “ie’ or ‘ei” break the e away from the “i”

con + sc + i + ent + ious

Use the word as many times throughout the week as you can. This can be verbally, in your written work or listen out for other people using it.
