guarantee (noun)

Meaning – a formal assurance (typically in writing) that certain conditions will be fulfilled, especially that a product will be repaired or replaced if not of a specified quality.

Example of using it in a sentence: "This item has a one year guarantee.”

Synonyms: warranty, contract, covenant, bond, assurance, promise

It can also be used as a verb – provide a formal assurance, especially that certain conditions will be fulfilled relating to a produce, service or transaction.

Example of using it in a sentence: "The company guarantees to refund your money.”
