May’s walk last week was a lovely day. The sun was out and there was a nice breeze.

From the photographs, you will see there are areas of surface water still. There were lots of dogs around and they were making the most of that water. We saw a golden Labrador head straight for a muddy ditch and making it out shaking everyone nearby with stinking black mud.

He was followed by a smaller black spaniel who could not get back out unaided. It meant a knee-deep walk through the mud for the owner who was wearing sandals. Both came out covered and stinking!

We are only too glad that it wasn’t us to the rescue - this time!
