accommodation (noun)
Meaning –a room, an area or building in which someone or a group can stay in or use.
Example of using it in a sentence: "When we went on our D of E trip we stayed in some nice accommodation."
It can also mean – a convenient arrangement, a settlement or compromise.
Example of using it in a sentence: "Since I have done all my homework in advance, my teacher has made an accommodation in my learning timetable by letting me have an extra week off during the summer holidays."
Spelling Tip – the root word is to ‘accommodate’ and there is a ‘t’ at the end which gives you the clue to which ‘tion’ or ‘sion’ to use. Don’t forget the two cots “cc” and two mattresses ‘mm’ for you to use during your stay at the accommodation.
