Word of the Week

sensible (noun)

Meaning –a thought or action done in accordance with wisdom or prudence

Example of using it in a sentence: "After your fall it would be sensible to just check you out at the doctors.”

Spelling Tip – here we have a choice between the suffixes ‘able’ and ‘ible’ spelling families. It sounds like ‘able’ but is actually ‘ible’. So, from now on put the emphasise on the ‘i’ when you say it.

Sen + s + ible

Use the word as many times throughout the week as you can. This can be verbally, in your written work or listen out for other people using it.
